Ben Gray is an award-winning photojournalist based in Jerusalem who primarily shoots in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Jordan. He documents the life of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land and accepts a limited number of freelance projects.
Prior to his current assignment, Ben worked as a photographer, photo editor and director of photography for a quarter century, including 18 years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He is a graduate of Ohio University’s Visual Communication program and served eight years on the board of directors of The Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar.
Ben has written blogs, deadline stories and feature-length narratives. He is a winning ultramarathon runner (runographer.com) who has completed 100-mile races and is a patented inventor (graymatterinventions.com).
Ben is currently learning Arabic and speaks just enough Spanish to get himself into trouble.
